Programs & Initiatives

CMIT is a community of researchers investigating how the microbiome regulates and impacts health. In collaboration with area hospitals and the Broad Institute, the Center focuses on ulcerative colitis and inflammatory bowel disease.

This collaborative initiative focuses on increasing the potential of innovative research to benefit society and the economy. linQ’s portfolio of international innovation programs demonstrates a new paradigm for technology research and training. This initiative also supports MIT’s Catalyst, IMPACT, and IDEA^2 mentoring programs.

CCTR is a preclinical testing/consulting facility on the MIT campus that works closely with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital. 

This partnership enables IMES and MGH pursue projects unlikely to receive funding from standard federal grants, including work in noninvasive diagnosis and neurological, infectious, and autoimmune diseases.

CTSI collaborates with IMES to uncover clinical insights that help fine-tune early device testing. The institute also works to design sequences of promising ideas so that they are more likely to become successful medical applications.
